While some of us are still reflecting and recovering from an epic Zimbali showdown in 2022, the countdown is again starting for HaemOnc 2023. The theme for this year is “Keeping it real”. It is such an exciting time with the appearance of a whole myriad of new molecules and therapeutic strategies, but it’s important to know what is available, be it old or new, and how this practically influences our treatment decisions.

This year we are trying to create a balance between “state of the art/international” and “local reality” in each session by combining local case presentations, international expert input and in-depth academic discussions.

Needless to say, there cannot be a HaemOnc without your support, and yet again we ask expectantly. In this novel agent era it is especially important for the clinicians and pharma to liaise with each other and find practical solutions which will inevitably benefit all parties, especially the patients.
